Professional Biography
Dylan Towne serves as the Director of the Brantley County E911 Center in Brantley County, Georgia, where he oversees countywide emergency communications operations, public safety communications systems, interoperability initiatives, and emergency preparedness. After beginning his career as a Communications Officer in 2020, he was appointed Interim Director before assuming the role of Director, where he continues to lead efforts focused on operational excellence, technology modernization, and strengthening emergency communications throughout the county.
A Certified Communications Officer since 2019, Dylan is committed to building strong partnerships among law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, emergency management, and state and federal public safety agencies to ensure coordinated and effective emergency response.
Prior to entering the 9-1-1 profession, Dylan spent seven years in emergency medicine as a Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant. During that time, he primarily served in emergency department settings while leading the development of a Community Health Worker Program designed to improve access to healthcare resources and strengthen community outreach.
In addition to his role in Brantley County, Dylan serves as the Georgia Region 5 Director for the National Emergency Number Association (NENA), representing emergency communications professionals throughout Southeast Georgia and advocating for the continued advancement of the 9-1-1 profession.
As the Southeast Regional Representative on the Georgia 9-1-1 Directors Association Board, Dylan is dedicated to strengthening collaboration among Georgia's Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), promoting professional development, and supporting initiatives that advance emergency communications across the state.
Committed to serving both professionally and as a volunteer, Dylan is a State of Georgia Registered Volunteer Firefighter with two volunteer fire departments in Brantley County and is also a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician–Responder (EMT-R) licensed in Georgia. His experience in emergency communications, emergency medicine, fire service, healthcare, and emergency management provides a broad perspective that helps strengthen public safety throughout Georgia.
