About Us
The Georgia 9-1-1 Directors Association brings together 9-1-1 directors, assistant directors, and public safety communications leaders from across the state to serve as One Voice for Georgia’s 9-1-1 community.
The Association provides a forum for leaders to collaborate, share knowledge and best practices, address common challenges, and advocate for the needs and concerns of Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) throughout Georgia.
Working alongside established public safety organizations such as APCO and NENA, the Association complements their efforts while providing a unified voice focused specifically on issues affecting Georgia’s 9-1-1 community.
Through education, collaboration, and legislative advocacy, the Association works with state leaders and other organizations to promote policies and initiatives that strengthen Georgia’s 9-1-1 system and support the professionals and communities it serves.

Our Legislative History
The Georgia 9-1-1 Directors Association has a strong history of advocating for the needs and interests of Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) across the state. By bringing 9-1-1 leaders together as One Voice, the Association has worked to educate lawmakers, address issues affecting emergency communications, and help shape legislation impacting Georgia’s 9-1-1 community.
Through collaboration with state leaders and partner organizations, the Association has supported important legislative initiatives, opposed measures that were not in the best interest of Georgia’s PSAPs, and helped advance meaningful changes to 9-1-1 in Georgia. These efforts demonstrate the impact that can be achieved when Georgia’s 9-1-1 leaders work together with a common purpose.
