Professional Biography
Katye Vogt serves as the 9-1-1 Director for Fayette County 911 Communications, where she oversees the county's emergency communications operations and is committed to providing exceptional service to the citizens of Fayette County.
With more than 34 years of dedicated service to Fayette County, Katye began her career as a telecommunicator and advanced through the ranks to Director. Her extensive experience provides a unique perspective on every aspect of public safety communications, from frontline operations to organizational leadership.
Katye holds a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University, with specializations in Forensics and Legal Issues. She is a Georgia P.O.S.T. Certified Instructor and regularly assists with the Georgia 9-1-1 Directors Academy and Basic Communications classes. She is also a certified Emergency Number Professional (ENP). Throughout her career, Katye has remained committed to advancing emergency communications through operational excellence, technology, professional development, and collaboration.
As Treasurer of the Georgia 9-1-1 Directors Association, Katye is honored to support the Association's mission by promoting collaboration among Georgia's Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), encouraging professional development, and helping advance emergency communications across the state. She is passionate about mentoring and helping prepare the next generation of public safety communications professionals.
